Haverfordwest is a wonderful historic town, sitting alongside the River Cleddau.  The impressive castle sits proudly on its banks surrounded by the town. Take time to explore the museum and wander around the many historical buildings.  St Davids is the smallest city in the British Isles. The impressive cathedral sits in the centre of the city which is full of quaint streets decorated with bunting, cute cafes, boutiques and galleries.

Carmarthen has a weekly market and the streets will be packed full of independent stalls.  There is also an indoor market and you will have plenty of time to look around this wonderful town. Once dominated by Roman power it still has the remains of the amphitheatre and stone walls. Saundersfoot, is the pretty little seaside town.  The harbour was once a busy coal port for the local mines.  This era is long gone, and the area has been turned into a beautiful harbour lined with shops and cafes.

An idea for your free day – why not visit Caldey Island?  It is owned by a community of Reformed Cistercian monks. You can explore the ancient priory and sample the famous Caldey chocolate, fudge and perfume (boat ticket is not included)
