Nothing is more beautiful than the thatched villages of the Cotswolds steeped with history on the historic Fosse Way, we use our hotel as a base and visit the best of what the area has to offer. Leamington Spa is known for its Regency architecture and broad boulevards. The colonnaded Royal Pump Rooms, a 19th-century bathhouse, now houses the Leamington Spa Art Gallery and Museum. Jephson Gardens is a park with formal flowerbeds and a glasshouse for tropical plants. In the town of Warwick you can walk past wonky timber-framed houses, chantry chapels and olde-worlde hospitals or hunt through the town's many antiques shops. Dazzling shows and attractions, heaps of gruesome history and awesome birds of prey, all set within 64 acres of beautiful grounds and gardens make Warwick Castle a fun, action-packed day out for everyone. Stow-on-the-Wold is a typical market town, founded by Norman lords to take advantage of its situation high on a plateau on crossroads within the Cotswolds. Bourton-on-the-Water is known as the Venice of England as the bridges run over the rivers and streams and the setting is beautiful. It is full of independent shops and cafes that are not to be missed. We also visit Stratford-upon-Avon, a medieval market town in England’s West Midlands. It is the birthplace of William Shakespeare who is possibly the most famous writer in the English language. Enjoy a visit to historic Lichfield with its fine museums and independent shopping facilities, notable for its three-spired medieval cathedral.
