Enjoy the spectacular views of the beach by taking the funicular tram up the cliffs, or if you prefer to walk off the seafront indulgences, you can take the stairs carved into the cliff. Speaking of stairs, there are 199 to climb to the Abbey ruins in Whitby, or if you'd prefer a more interactive view of the harbour, there are plenty of boat trips that run daily- see if you can encounter a friendly seal or the spot where Dracula himself washed up.
