For something different, a cruise or bike ride along the meandering Danube River offers a more relaxing way to see the country.

The financial capital of Germany is Frankfurt which lies on the banks of the River Main and offers a host of cultural events.

At the north of Germany is Hamburg, a city often undiscovered by most visitors yet is the home to elegant shopping and many art galleries and museums.

Munich is the host to the Oktoberfest, the Glockenspiel and the Bavarian cuisine.

Stuttgart is a green and open city surrounded by trees and vineyards.

Hannover is a small town well worth a visit, it was developed by its historical significance in the 17th Centrury.
